Gunns Pool

Gunns Pool

Picture
Picture
Gunns Pool is one of the first pools you come to on our East Branch Paddlers Trail.  The abandoned bridge abutments at this location are from the old Guysborough Railway that never had a track on it.  Stan Roger’s song “The Guysborough Train” is written about this rail line which was never used.

The location and abutments are looking like this is where the new St. Mary’s Trail will be running, connecting to the Cross Canada Trail.
