Justin Smith from the Department of Natural Resources will be giving a talk on the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, an invasive pest threatening our Hemlock forests. Lean about their biology, current research, economic and ecological impact, and what we can do to limit their spread.

The St. Mary's River Association will welcome conservationist and wildlife biologist Bob Bancroft as the guest speaker at the Education and Interpretive Center. Bancroft will deliver a presentation entitled “Acadian Forests and Their Inhabitants at Risk"
Bob is known as a respected voice for Nova Scotia’s forests and wild places. He has spent more than 37 years as an advocate and activist in maintaining and rehabilitating forests, their wildlife habitats and waterways.
