Guided Moose Hike July 31,2025Explore Moose Country with Nature Nova Scotia and St. Mary's River Association on a guided hike through historical mainland moose habitat along the Guysborough Nature Trail.
July 31st, 10 AM Meet at the St. Mary’s River Interpretive Centre We'll start with a short talk about our ongoing moose conservation work, then hit the trail to learn how to identify moose tracks, scat, and browse — and maybe even spot some wildlife along the way! Bring water, snacks, and sturdy shoes. |

The St. Mary’s River, or Napu'saqnuk, was an essential waterway for the Mi’kmaq, who moved between seasonal hunting grounds and winter camping settlements. We acknowledge the Peace & Friendship Treaties signed in this Territory and recognize that we are all Treaty People.
